With direct mail offering unexpected-yet-powerful results, we developed a bold and confident new brand platform, ‘Mail Unleashed', to showcase its benefits. And to ensure this message was reinforced to both newcomers and seasoned professionals, we recruited influential business leaders for a video series that explored its advantages in the worlds of media, behavioural science and creativity...
...The series interviews respected industry leaders from the likes of Boots UK, Tesco and Manchester United, who share their thoughts in short and long-form films, which are hosted across social channels, as well as a dedicated Mail Unleashed hub. Season One generated almost 15 million impressions and 1.7 million video views via paid media on Facebook and LinkedIn, and proved so popular that the series was commissioned for a second series soon after.
Exploring the circular advantage of mail
Meanwhile, to address issues around sustainability, MSQ/Sustain created a campaign highlighting how mail can contribute to a circular, regenerative economy through a groundbreaking new study. The ‘Circular Advantage of Mail' campaign looked at the environmental impact of commercial mail through research commission by Marketreach and carried out by environmental specialists WSP.
The research was then brought to life through bright and bold creative across direct mail, OOH, social, email, search, display, video content and in trade media. Throughout the planning and delivery of the campaign, we were considerate of the environment, from shooting in a studio and using stock footage rather than outdoor location settings, to being mindful of website functionality by limiting the use of high impact assets such as multiple videos and animations.
